Having an iPhone is in a way like owning the Rolls Royce of smartphones. The owners of such phones would tend to be more quality oriented rather than economy oriented. A smartphone is such an important companion in today's modern world. Life is quite difficult and unimaginable with such a companion being unserviceable. A mobile phone is beyond being an audio and messaging communication device. Having immediate access to the Internet is such a great boon. The required information can be received swiftly. Trying to describe the various features of a smartphone would be kind of foolhardy as the vast majority of literate people are very well aware of the capabilities of smartphones.
Many mobile companies of repute are now offering mobile repair services on the same day while one waits. That is such a blessing for users. Maximum repair time is usually around 30 minutes which is a reasonable waiting time. By making a single visit for repair, a person is spared the need for a second visit in order to pick up the repaired phone. Consequentially the involved person does not have to ask for leave from their office or work premises again. Driving in busy urban traffic one is always faced with the danger of having a traffic accident. By removing the need for a second visit the risk of having a traffic skirmish is much reduced. For people who do not even have the time to go to an approved iPhone repair facility, courier services are also available with quite a few repair labs.
- In case of an iPhone needing repair a person usually has 3 choices.
- Take that to an approved iPhone dealer, especially if under warranty.
A warranty covers instances mostly cases related to faulty manufacturing. Accidents are not covered under warranty. For example, an LCD screen broken due to a fall or an iPhone damaged by water contact are all not covered under warranty. One may get such damages repaired by an unauthorized dealer often paying less than half for an approved iPhone dealer but please be cautioned that in such a case the one year warranty expires automatically by having a non-authorized person repair the phone. In case the iPhone has a warranty close to the expiry date then it wouldn't really make much of a difference.
Getting repairs done by an unauthorized dealer, but of good repute in case of a warranty having being expired could be considered. Such repair centres tend to charge less than half of what company dealers would tend to charge along with quality repairs carried out.
The case of the DIY would certainly not be recommended. Videos and tutorials on Youtube are available and also repair kits with all required components and mini tools for specific tasks. The amateur would tend to goof up on the task, for example losing any of the tiny screws. Let alone a high tech phone, should a person attempt to make a fried egg for the first time with a DIY tutorial he/she is 99% sure to make a mess out of that.
